Can we talk about job loss for 2005?
Centerline,
Your party talked on and on and on and on about how the Bushies kept losing jobs and was the worst ever as a President. Care to give us an update on how that has gone for 2005? I figure the Iraq thing is much more pressing so we don't hear about how bad of a job Bush is doing here.

Next thing you know you'll be saying that the tax cuts actually accelerated the rate of job creation AND increased revenues. Keep reciting the party line.
Can you give me the numbers please?
From January of 2004, 4,034,000 net new jobs IF YOU BELIEVE THE BUREAU OF LABOR STATISTICS which, as you may know, is funded partially by Halliburton and WalMart. Also, the Secretary of Labor reports to Bush. She sits only four spaces away, in cabinet meetings, from the people who told us about WMD's in Iraq.
With all of that, can you really trust the stats? I mean, when Robert Reich ran the department, we knew he was a man of stature, but Elaine Chao? Pleeeease.... Isn't she originally from Vietnam or some place like that? And, speaking of which, isn't Iraq in exactly the same tract as Vietnam?

4 Million?
4 Million?
Why isn't this in the press?
I'm sure the CONSERVATIVE media as you guys call it does not want to point out good news.
You are simply not NUANCED enough. Yes, there are 4 million new jobs. Yes, tax collections are up even though rates are down.
But the rich are getting richer and the income gap is growing. But I guess you would not care about that, would you? The gap between the haves and the have-nots has grown and continues to grow in this place I used to know as America. And this gap is just a BAD thing.
And then, of course, there are the WMD's, about which, as we all know, the Administration lied while planning prisoner torture in Abu Ghraib.
I think we need to get out now. If not, who knows, we might win.
I take it by your answers you actually believe the Pablum you're being fed by the BLS. I think they need to change their name by eliminating the L.
Love the jobs... Love the tax cuts... Hate the f....g spending!!!!
This President and this congress are the most prolific spenders of all time! What a party they are having. If we don't get spending under control the effects will be the same as a raise in taxes.
The effects are worse than a raise in taxes. The new entitlement program created, the medicare prescription drug coverage, is a boondoggle of biblical proportions. Rather than cutting back on the entitlements, the President went out and pandered to the elderly in order to get a few more votes in FL. Disgraceful.
